Gully Boy

The soundtrack alone makes this worth watching, but Ranveer Singh's performance is what sold me on the character's arc from resentful to determined. The Mumbai settings feel lived-in rather than staged. It runs a little long, and the romantic subplot with Alia Bhatt's character never gets developed as much as the music/rap storyline does.
